WHERE YOU GO I WILL GO<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n

I attended a dynamic prayer breakfast in\u00a0Champaign, Illinois\u00a0last October. \u00a0Dr. Rosalyn Nichols\u00a0spoke\u00a0on the book of Ruth, and how it relates to us today.<\/p>\n

Dr. Nichols reminded us that Naomi tried to get her daughters-in-law to leave\u00a0after the death of her husband and sons.\u00a0\u00a0Oprah\u00a0tearfully left, but Ruth\u00a0clung to\u00a0Naomi.\u00a0\u00a0Ruth\u00a0said,\u00a0\u201cDon\u2019t urge me to leave you or to turn back, where you go I will go, your people will be my people and your God my God\u2026only death can separate us.”\u00a0\u00a0Naomi discovered that she\u00a0didn’t\u00a0have to make it alone because Ruth refused to desert her.\u00a0 WOW,\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0loyalty!<\/p>\n

GRIEF &\u00a0BITTERNESS<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi\u00a0became\u00a0so bitter that she\u00a0changed her name; she\u00a0said \u201cdon\u2019t call me Naomi, call me Moira, which means bitterness.\u00a0 Naomi was determined to stay stuck in her sadness and grief.\u00a0\u00a0Isn\u2019t\u00a0that how it is with us sometimes?\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0just easier to immerse ourselves in the grief and pain rather than take a step forward.<\/p>\n

Dr. Nichols spoke to the friendship\u00a0of the two women,\u00a0and how she and Ruth\u2019s\u00a0relationship relates to\u00a0friendships\u00a0today.\u00a0 She said that we\u00a0would\u00a0go through some tough times.\u00a0 We\u00a0lose\u00a0people\u00a0in our lives through\u00a0death, divorce,\u00a0and\u00a0even friendships, and\u00a0things\u00a0like\u00a0jobs, but we\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0have to\u00a0walk alone.\u00a0 We have God and if we petition Him, He will send someone to help us through the storms.<\/p>\n

FAITHFUL FRIENDS<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n

Sometimes we don\u2019t want to ask for\u00a0what we need, but we must.\u00a0 We have to walk through things, and\u00a0find\u00a0our way,\u00a0and write a new script for our lives. We need\u00a0faithful friends\u00a0who will listen, and help us on our journey.\u00a0\u00a0If you are walking through a valley right now, and you don\u2019t have a \u201cRuth\u201d in your life,\u00a0I encourage you\u00a0to find a \u201cstirring\u00a0sister\u201d\u00a0who will pray with\u00a0you and for you. \u00a0Find one who will take you by the hand and say \u201ccome, my sister,\u00a0with God,\u00a0anything is possible. \u201cDon\u2019t urge me to leave you or to turn back, where you go I will go,\u00a0your people will be my people and your God my God\u2026only death can separate us\u201d.<\/p>\n

AN AFFIRMATION<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n
